Raymond Sammak

I began painting at the age of eight after a neighbor, who saw me drawing, offered to take me for art lessons.  Over  the years, my style and technique have changed dramatically. I have been inspired by old masters such as Vermeer, Michelangelo, and Picasso, as well as contemporary artists Norman Rockwell, Jackson Pollock and Lucian Freud. I prefer to paint realism as I find it more challenging and provocative. Now that I have retired from a career in financial services, I look forward to painting full time for years to come.
